Concrete has a much higher initial costs but less maintenance and a longer useful life than asphalt pavement. Concrete is very rigid and will not rut and is the preferred surface construction material for warehousing facilities and other projects that have heavy load usage.
Asphalt is more flexible and less expensive to install. It requires more maintenance but can be very cost effective when a proper preventative maintenance program is implemented. Seal coating and striping should be scheduled every 3 to 5 years to preserve and extend the useful life of your site.
